It's hard to believe this is the third year making belt favors to show that we strive to be an inclusive and welcoming group. Year one I was on my own, recently recovered from wrist surgery and unable to do 90% of my daily activities. It was so successful that I recruited help (and really people came and asked to help!) for year 2. Between the three of us, we wove, sewed, and distributed over 90 favors. This year, I was able to let go of the design aspect to Diamond Stone, one of the artists from year 2. My plan was always to start it, grow it, pass it on, and watch it grow. It's exhilarating and also bittersweet that it's working! This project is so dear to me, that I knew I had to trust the people joining to value it like I do. And they do.
So here we go. Pride 2025, still a period weave- the common, but always elegant 2/2 twill. This year Diamond added stripes from the Progress flag. It's a wonderful addition and I can't wait to get mine on the loom!
